Burt Reynolds was a recipient of the Taurus Lifetime Achievement Award for an Action Movie Star for such classic films as Deliverence, Smokey and the Bandit, Cannonball Run and Boogie Nights.

Reynolds has just completed four movies - Randy and the Mob (2006), Deal (2006), Forget about it (2006) and In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale (2007). He is also currently working on Delgo.

New film-making and acting courses are due to start soon in North Palm Beach County at the Burt Reynolds Institute and Burt Reynolds and Friends Museum.
